Terms of use.
Last updated October 9, 2026
These terms are between you and Tawhid Joarder (“we”), founder of Framecast and its seller, based in Bangladesh. By downloading or using Framecast you agree to them.
1. The free version
You may download Framecast for free and use it to record and edit, on any number of Macs, for as long as you like. Exporting needs a license. Exporting means anything that takes your work out of Framecast: saving a video or GIF, copying it to the clipboard, share links, interactive demos, step-by-step guides, subtitle and transcript files, and raw files.
2. Licenses
Pay once. A license lets one person use Framecast, exporting included, on up to 3 Macs at a time. It doesn’t expire, and it includes every update we release for Framecast, with nothing to renew.
Monthly. A subscription gives the same use, with every update, while it’s paid. It renews each month until you cancel; when it ends, Framecast goes back to the free version: it can still record and edit, but it can’t export. Your projects stay on your Mac.
You can move a license between your own Macs. Don’t share, sell or publish your key. If a key is shared, we may reset it; you can reset it yourself on your account page.
3. Payments, taxes and refunds
Lemon Squeezy sells Framecast as our reseller and merchant of record, and their terms of sale apply to your purchase. Prices are shown in US dollars; tax is added where it applies. Your license key is delivered right after payment, on the page after checkout and by email. Refunds follow our refund policy. A refunded license stops working.
4. License checks
Framecast checks your license with our server every few days when it can. Without a connection your license keeps working for up to 60 days; after that, Framecast needs to check in before it can export again. See the privacy policy for what this sends.
5. Share links
With a working license, pay once or monthly, Framecast can make share links, which we host at share.framecast.pro. Each license has 25 GB of storage for its shared videos, thumbnails and projects together. A video can be up to 5 GB and a shared project up to 20 GB, and a license can make up to 100 new links a day and 2,000 in all. We may change these limits.
When a license stops working, its links are removed: 30 days after it’s refunded or turned off, and 90 days after a monthly subscription ends or is paused. We email you when this is scheduled, and again a week before. If the license works again in time, nothing is removed.
Share links aren’t a backup. Keep your own copies of everything you share. To protect the service, we may limit or pause share links for a while, for example when they get unusual traffic.
6. Acceptable use
You’re responsible for what you record and share, including having the right to record the people, apps and content in it. Don’t reverse engineer, crack or redistribute Framecast, or interfere with the license server or share links.
Don’t use share links for anything illegal, to harass anyone, to publish other people’s private information, to share material you don’t have the right to share (such as someone else’s copyrighted work), or to spread malware or spam.
We may take down anything you share that breaks these rules or the law: its files are deleted, and we’ll email you. We may also stop a license from sharing, for example after repeated abuse. Anyone can report a share link with the Report button on its page.
7. Your content
Your recordings and projects are yours, and we claim no rights to them. We receive only what you share with a link. By sharing it, you let us store it and show it to the people who can open the link, for as long as the link exists. We only look at it when it’s reported, when the law requires it, or when you ask us for help.
8. No warranty
We work hard to make Framecast and its share links reliable, but they are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep backups of recordings that matter.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for Framecast in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
10. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above and email license holders about important changes. If you break these terms, we may end your license after telling you why.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and its courts handle any dispute. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the consumer laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
