Is this recording or uploading video?
No. The tool shows a live preview. A snapshot is created locally only when you choose Take snapshot.
Why is the preview black?
Check the lens cover, selected camera and browser permission. Another app may be using the camera.
Why does the frame rate change or show Unavailable?
Lighting, hardware and browser support affect frame delivery. The tool labels reported or estimated values and shows Unavailable when it cannot read one.
