GuideExport & share
Copy to clipboard
Skip the save dialog. Copy the finished video, a GIF or a single frame, then paste it into Slack, Mail, Messages or a document.

Copy the video
- Click Export or press ⌘E.
- Choose the format and settings. GIF works too.
- Click Copy to clipboard or press ⌘⏎.
Framecast exports the video and puts the file on the clipboard. When you see “Video copied — paste it anywhere” (or “GIF copied”), press ⌘V in Slack, Mail or Messages.
Copy one frame as an image
Move the playhead to the moment you want and click the camera icon in the toolbar, Copy current frame as image. You can also press ⌘K and choose Copy current frame. Framecast copies the frame as a picture, with the background, zoom and everything else applied, and shows “Frame copied to clipboard”.
Record & Copy
To copy every new recording without opening the editor:
- On the recording bar, click the arrow on the Record button.
- Under After recording, choose Copy the video to the clipboard. The button now reads Record & Copy.
- Record as usual. When you stop, the after-recording card exports the video and copies it.
It uses the format, size and quality in Settings › Quick export: MP4, 1080p, 60 fps, High to start with. Framecast remembers your choice, so switch back to Open the project to edit when you want the editor again. The Copy button on the after-recording card does the same for any recording.
