Export raw recording files
Get the original files Framecast recorded: the screen, the camera, your microphone and the system audio, each on its own, for another editor or a backup.
Export the originals
- In the library, right-click the recording and choose Export raw recording files…. In the editor, press ⌘K and choose it there.
- Pick a folder and click Export here.
Framecast makes a folder named after the recording, ending in “raw files”, and shows it in Finder.
What’s inside
- The screen, without the background, zooms or the mouse pointer. Framecast draws the pointer when it makes your video, so the screen is recorded without it.
- The camera, if you recorded it.
- Your microphone, if you recorded it, without voice enhancement.
- The system audio, if you recorded it.
- The transcript and the record of your clicks and key presses, when there are any.
These are the files as they were recorded. None of your edits are in them: no cuts, speed changes, masks or captions.
Note: the record of your key presses includes what you typed. It’s the file named “input”: delete it from the folder before you send the folder to anyone.
