GuideExport & share
Share a project with your team
Send teammates an editable copy of a project, not just the video. Framecast can take out what you typed, the parts you cut and what’s under your masks first.
Share a project
- Right-click the recording in the library and choose Share project with team. In the editor, press ⌘K and choose it there.
- Choose what to keep private (see below), then click Share project.
- Framecast asks before it uploads and lists what it will send. Click Upload.
Framecast prepares a safe copy, uploads it to share.framecast.pro and copies the project’s link. A card in the corner of your screen shows the link, with Copy, Open and Send…, until you close it. Send that link to your team. A shared project can be up to 20 GB, and it counts toward your license’s 25 GB for share links; see Share a link.
Keep private things private
Masks and cuts only change how the video is shown. Unless you take them out here, the copy holds the full recording underneath. All three options start ticked, and one is greyed out when there’s nothing for it to do.
- Remove what you typed: the characters you typed become •, and window titles and the text of things you clicked are dropped. Shortcuts like ⌘C stay.
- Leave out the parts you cut: the copy only holds the video and sound you kept.
- Make masks permanent: blur, pixelate and blend masks are drawn into the video, so nobody can remove them. Highlights stay editable.
The project’s recording log, which notes your Mac and the devices you used, is never in the copy.
What teammates get
The link opens a page with Open in Framecast and Download project. On a Mac with Framecast, Open in Framecast downloads the project and adds it to their library, ready to edit with your zooms, cuts and styles. Framecast shows “Project imported into your library” when it’s there.
Anyone with the link can download the project, so send it only to people who should have it. When they no longer need it, delete it on your account page.
